Horses have become so domesticated, it is no wonder they have bad hair days!
Dusty stable bedding dries out their skin, just as central heating dries out ours. How many times have we used a moisturiser or hand cream that has not made any difference to our skin? Well it is no different to our domesticated horse either.
Products we have seen people use on horses over the years is enough to make anyone cringe with despair, they use washing up liquid to bath them in and even spray furniture polish on to their coats! The excuse given is that it is cheaper than equine products on the market.

Throughout the summer months, many horses are bathed on a regular basis, thus stripping their natural oils out. Perfumed shampoo's can irritate the skin and can dry it the point of cracking.
We created "Shower N' Shine" as an all over body wash, based on our "2in1 Equine Intimate Body Wash". The ingredients are gentle on the skin and the formula is not to dissimilar to a human baby wash, with the added benefits of Lavender and Tea Tree pure essential oils instead of synthetic perfumes. We did not add foam boosters to make rinsing off time shorter. The beneficial oils carry on working after rinsing, promoting a healthy skin.
After shampooing we recommend "The Ultimate 2in1 Fly Repellent & Skin Tonic", it goes a long way on damp skin and penetrates more easily through the hair. It contains vitamin E and other essential amino acids, plus a percentage of fatty acids, which help maintain skin elasticity.
Alternatively, or as well, apply "3in1 Tangle Free Mane, Tail & Coat shine" to a wet or dry coat. The natural conditioners will help re-hydrate the skin, creating a natural balance. We would recommend using "The Ultimate" and or the "Tangle Free" throughout winter months to keep the skin toned and supple.
