I bought my saddle saver in 2014 when I had hurt my back. I was very skeptical as to how good it could be - whether it would stay on the saddle or move with the rider, whether it was worth the price tag. I still use my original Saddle saver and without a doubt it was worth every penny! It is a game changer for damaged discs and sore hips. Never moves when you are riding in it. I would thoroughly recommend it!
I've been struggling badly with seat bone pain due to a combination of weight loss (less padding and saddle probably now a half inch too large for me) plus probably menopause. I've tried Sheepskin, Elico and Acavallo. While the latter 2 helped a bit, I didn't really get on with them. The "Block the Shock" seat saver is by far the best and has made a significant difference. For a 17.5 inch saddle it seems small and I've had to put the straps under the stirrup leathers, but it stays put.
Fits both my dressage and jump saddle, comfy and if anything has improved my feel in the saddle. Good quality material. Highly recommended. I found the elastic straps worked by tucking them under the stirrups leathers.
